1 Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch, ensuring the rice doesn't become sticky. 2 Place the washed rice in a 60-60 mm canteen. 3 Add the measured water to the canteen. 4 Cover the canteen with a flat tray to create a makeshift lid. 5 Follow the cooking step below, while preparing the rice seasoning. 6 Prepare the seasoning by combining the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a saucepan. 7 Heat until the sugar and salt dissolve completely. 8 Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. 9 Gradually add the cooled seasoning mixture to the cooked rice while gently folding the rice with a spatula. Take care not to crush the grains.
